Austin, someone more clever than me posed the hypothetical (I paraphrase), when you are sprawled on your couch shoveling nachos & dip into your GI tract and the anthem starts to play, do you stand up? Do 99 out of 100 decent hard-working American football fans? If not, then making the argument as you do is hypocrisy, pain & simple.

American Politics (in the Trump era, more than ever before) = Entertainment
therefore
American Football = American Politics

Now, to claim that taking a knee during the anthem is the same as saying “F*ck America” … this is self-righteous moralizing, phony grandstanding, the kind of life skill that might get you a gig at FoxNews.

The real “F*ck You” this week came from the Tweetmeister, when he called the protesting NFL palyers S.O.B.’s, directing his vitriol at their mommas, insulting some of the most impressive praise-worthy women of our time.
