Easily my favorite thing to do on a free night in New York City is to see an improv comedy show — especially musical improv. There are several great venues like the Magnet and the PIT, and you can find a show most nights of the week.

While I write a lot of poetry — in my own time and at my own pace — I could never get into the zone enough to make it up on the spot, and I always sit in awe of those who can pull it off.

As for listicles, much of it is clickbait rubbish but I am a fan of the good ones and I do my part to keep that genre alive.
