(Mike, Roy, lot of heavy hitters here… Gail pretty much has it) well I would be willing to bet that the answer is simply: the Import a story feature. It is there on your Draft Stories page (on the site only, not in the apps). I tried it once, because I’m one of those people who has to click everything once, and I found that Medium pulls in the timestamp from the original source.

Which makes it not very useful, as old articles get buried in the feed. Which explains why the piece you found got hardly any exposure … Northern or otherwise.

Your Friends @ Medium, in case you are reading this, I would be curious to know what % of Medium stories use the Import feature. My guess is it’s in the 0.05% range.
