Writings on (Dig)Mandarin

It’s almost Chinese New Year 2018, seems like a good a time as any to pull together and publish this content. I first started studying Mandarin when I moved to Taiwan in 2001. Soon after, I began writing essays and compiling lists of various kinds to document the learning process and to attempt to organize what I was learning into relatable and reusable chunks.
A little side note, a few years back I also developed an Android app called Trasee, it encapsulates many of the pattern recognition techniques I applied in learning to read & write. I was inspired by simple tracing games that I observed young children enjoy on mobile devices.
