This is an interesting nuance Chloe. To me, “believe her” on face value is a call to action for us hearing of assault allegations not to dismiss them just because we are uncomfortable with the reality they thrraten to reveal. I can also see the point you make.

Either way, “believe her” is inadequate as a mantra, a meme, etc. Needs to be refined so it cannot be misconstrued as victim shaming or as call for unconditional prosecution of the accused.

I am planning to write about this and if you dont mind would like to reference your article.
