Vonnegut and the Internet — this reminds me of a personal anecdote, Jaya, I wrote about it here, allow me to copy-paste:
I recall listening to an interview with the old man that aired on a Boston radio station, WBUR, in the late 90s, shortly after I graduated from a college in that town — when he was in his late 70s. The interviewer asked him for his thoughts on the fledgling World Wide Web, and, sharp and witty as ever, he said (I paraphrase from memory):
“the Internet is proof that if you give an army of monkeys infinite time, paper and pencils, they will not write the collected works of Shakespeare”
